Our PowerPoint presentations are often the end result of a process of graphic facilitation and strategic mapping. Most often, the purpose of the presentation is to communicate to a broader audience the results of a group's thinking.
Mission Statement for a Non-Profit Organization

The self-running PowerPoint presentation below (open the file and go into Slide Show mode) takes the organization's visual mission statement and gradually builds it, piece by piece, revealing its structure and logic. In actual use, the slides would be moved through by a presenter supplying appropriate narration.

The Laurence Boys and Girls Club Strategic Map

After a series of interviews and graphically facilitated strategic planning sessions, we developed, with the staff, board members, and other volunteers, an integrated 'business model' of the Club's operation. To present this model to the full board, we created a PowerPoint presentation with a sequence of images that gradually builds the full model. This allows the presenter to walk the audience through the model's components step by step.

The first slide in the presentation is a causal map of the Club's operation created by Strategic Clarity, and redrawn by Idiagram. The strategic map we created was designed to incorporate key elements of the causal map in a more user-friendly graphical model.
